About the Opportunity

The Eskom Learner Artisan programme provides successful candidates with a combination of institutionalised training and on-the-job workplace training. Candidates who successfully pass the recruitment process may be placed within Eskom Operations across its divisions.

The programme is suited to applicants who have completed Grade 12 and obtained relevant technical studies in areas such as electrical work, instrumentation, fitting, welding, plumbing, millwright work and other engineering-related trades.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following qualification routes:

Option 1: Grade 12 + N-level technical qualification

Grade 12 together with an N6, N5, N4 or N3 Certificate in one of the following fields:

  • Electrical
  • Instrumentation
  • Fitting
  • Fitting and Turning
  • Boilermaking
  • Welding
  • Plumbing
  • Carpentry
  • Rigging
  • Civil
  • Millwright
  • Bricklaying

Applicants must have at least 50% in Mathematics and 50% in Science.

OR

Option 2: Grade 12 + NCV Level 4

Grade 12 together with NCV Level 4 in one of the relevant technical fields listed above, with 50% in Mathematics and 50% in Science.
