Description

Assist the Manager of Portfolio Analytics in implementing the credit risk strategy, with an emphasis on establishing, reviewing, and overseeing the credit risk appetite for Everyday Banking (retail unsecured lending).

Deliver strategic analytics for credit risk, facilitating actionable insights to meet profit objectives and promote responsible portfolio growth.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, review, and oversee credit risk appetite thresholds and underlying assumptions.
  • Generate monthly Portfolio Quality Review reports and track portfolio changes and key risk indicators.
  • Identify and address credit risks while diagnosing the root causes of portfolio performance issues.
  • Support the growth of a responsible portfolio and effective credit risk management.
  • Collaborate with departments such as Risk Measurement, Model Development, Acquisitions, Finance, and Collections to effectively manage portfolio composition and concentrations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in risk management, statistical analysis, actuarial science, business mathematics, econometrics, or a related discipline (postgraduate degree preferred).
  • 0-4 years of experience in credit risk.
  • Proficiency in SAS (Base, Enterprise Guide, or Viya).
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel.
  • Knowledge of credit risk and statistical modeling.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
