Job Description:
A Maintenance Assistant is needed to join the RCL FOODS Division. The position will report to the Plant Engineer and have its headquarters in Pretoria West. RCL FOODS is seeking a person with a strong work ethic, high compliance, and a love for maintenance and decision-making.
The responsible individual has been entrusted by RCL FOODS to assist the maintenance team with all electrical, mechanical, and civil work and repairs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Machinery and equipment must undergo mechanical and electrical inspections in accordance with supplier specifications indicated in the maintenance manuals.
- Helping to fix equipment and machinery when it breaks down.
- Helping Artisans with Tools and Machinery for Production
- Backup Generators
- Fillers
- Compact envelopes.
- Ammonia Plant
- Boiler
- Compressors for Air
- Units for managing air
- Pallet jacks
- Water purification plant
- Fans, lights, and louvers
Civil:
- Inspection of the primary water supply and water systems in accordance with the maintenance plan.
- Water supply and system maintenance and repair in compliance with the maintenance schedule and plan.
- Water supply problems and system repairs.
- Building plumbing systems are repaired as they break down.
Electrical Maintenance:
- Building upkeep and repairs carried out in accordance with the maintenance plan.
- Upkeep of Electrical Systems
- Building and plant electrical repairs based on breakdown.
General:
- Carrying out daily responsibilities as directed by authorized staff in a reasonable manner.
- Every day, the associated machinery, equipment, and structures are inspected to prevent malfunctions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric or its equivalent
- Technical qualifications NQF 5 or NQF 6 will be beneficial.
- Two years minimum of relevant experience in an FMCG environment
Knowledge:
- Measurement and Welding
- understanding of instruments and their use
- fundamental understanding of fitting
- abilities to solve problems
- listening abilities
- knowledge of air compressors and boilers.
- Food Safety and Sanitation Standards
- fundamental understanding of lubricant kinds
- The requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
