Tronox Bursaries For 2025

THE FOLLOWING OPPORTUNITIES ARE AVAILABLE AT OUR KZN SANDS OPERATIONS, AVAILABLE TO SOUTH AFRICAN CITIZENS ONLY, AT EMPANGENI AND MTUNZINI, KWAZULU NATAL.

Top-performing students enrolled in a university or university of technology for their first year in 2025 are eligible for bursary opportunities from us.

The following academic specializations will be eligible to receive the bursary:

• Mining Surveying
• Mining engineering
• The field of mechanical engineering
• Process instrumentation in electrical engineering

To whom is it open to apply?

Students who have registered or plan to register in 2025 for any of the following programs: BSc, BEng, BCOM, BTECH, or Advanced Diploma (Mandatory).

Your application needs to be accompanied by the following paperwork:

• A one-page CV that is certified and includes the supporting documentation indicated below (no more than three months old)
  • Identity Record (ID)
  • Certificate of Grade 12 and Results Statement
  • Acceptance Memorandum
  • Proof of Tribal Council (TC) residency
  • Valid Driver’s License (If applicable)

NOTE: Applicants from the following Tribal Councils/Municipalities will be given preference:

Tribal Council:

• Area of Kwa Dube [Dube Inkosi]
• Area of Kwa Nzunza [Inkosi Nzunza]
• Inkosi Mkhwanazi, Kwa Mkhwanazi
• Ogagwini [Zulu Inkosi]
• [Inkosi Mthembu] Somopho
• Mathaba, Inkosi Macambini
• Madlebe [Zungu Inkosi]

Municipalities:

• Umhlathuze Local Municipality
• Municipality of Umlalazi
• Municipality of Mandeni

Observation:

• Applications that are sent after the deadline or without the necessary supporting documentation won’t be taken into consideration.
• Candidates who have registered for any learning program with a SETA in the past or present will not be taken into consideration.
• A portion of the selecting procedure will involve pre-screening assessment.
• Those that are accepted will have to go through a medical evaluation.
• Psychometric tests could be used in the selecting procedure.
• In compliance with the Tronox Employment Equity Policy, appointments will be made. Applications from women and individuals with disabilities are invited.
