Job Description for an Internship
Among other things, interns will be exposed to the following duties:
- Carrying out all entry-level functional duties for the unit.
- Maintain the records and files for the unit and react to communications and questions about it.
- Supplying administrative assistance for the unit budgeting procedures’ coordination.
- Help in obtaining data in order to get ready for audits.
- Assist in gathering data and creating the unit’s monthly and quarterly reports.
- Carrying out all tasks as assigned by the managers and supervisors of the units.
- Make agendas for meetings and record minutes.
- Helps with the preparation of at least one presentation every quarter, or as needed from time to time.
- For a timetable of fewer than three months.
- Rotational planning should be set up so that there is enough time.
- Rotational planning ought to be set up so that the intern has enough time to experience various duties across departments within a department. The success of the interns will be properly examined, if not every quarter, at the end.
Fundamental Skills:
It is anticipated that interns would acquire the following skills while working at CETA:
- Understanding of the goals and mandates of CETA as a corporate and public organization as well as the entire SETA landscape.
- Expected to have theoretical knowledge and comprehension that is appropriate and Pertinent to the functional area, as well as any particular departments or units, where interns are placed.
- A foundational understanding of pertinent and applicable regulatory frameworks, Acts, guidelines, and policies (such as the Employment Equity and Affirmative Action Act, the Skills Development Act, the PFMA, Tax legislation, BBBEE, and the SDLA).
Requirements for Entry:
- Own a valid South African ID and be a citizen of South Africa who is under 35 years old.
- post-matriculation qualification from an accredited higher education institution that is relevant.
- Candidates cannot have taken part in any internship program supported by SETA in the past.
- Candidates cannot have held a job before.
- To be considered for interviews, the applicant must submit a thorough Curriculum Vitae (CV) and a motivation letter.
- Both the Identity Document (ID) and the academic credentials are certified copies.
The following minimal requirements will be taken into account:
Project and Business Management in North Dakota
- ND, BTech, or Degree in Accounting, Public Administration, Business Administration, or Office Administration
- ND Administrative Assistant or Management Assistant, or similar
