Programme Overview
The ETDP-SETA Internship Programme is a two-year initiative designed to provide valuable workplace exposure to unemployed graduates. Hosted at the Pretoria Campus of Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), this internship aims to support various departments in need of temporary administrative and operational assistance.
Beyond filling short-term staffing needs, the programme offers a structured environment where graduates can gain hands-on experience in real-world work settings. Key Responsibilities (KPAs)
Interns will be placed across various departments and will be expected to:
- Provide general administrative and operational support.
- Assist teams with day-to-day tasks to ensure smooth departmental functions.
- Gain exposure to structured professional environments and organizational systems.
- Develop practical workplace skills aligned with their field of study.
The programme is particularly beneficial for graduates seeking relevant experience to complement their academic qualifications and increase their competitiveness in the job market.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- South African Citizen or Permanent Resident
Attach a certified copy of your South African ID. - TUT Graduate Only
You must have completed a qualification at Tshwane University of Technology in one of the following fields:- Human Resource Management / Development
- Labour Relations
- Office Management and Technology
- Administrative Information Management
- Financial Management
- Applied Social Science (Majors in Psychology and Counselling)
- Age Requirement: Between 18 and 34 years old.
- Unemployed Status
You must be unemployed at the time of application and must not have participated in any previous SETA or DHET internship or programme. - Police Clearance
Provide a valid police clearance certificate, affidavit, or formal declaration.
