Introduction
The General Worker will be responsible for supporting the site’s operational and housekeeping needs through manual labour, material handling, and assistance with production and maintenance activities. This role requires a physically fit, reliable, and disciplined individual who is willing to work in a shift environment and perform duties that involve physical effort and adherence to safety standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform general housekeepingduties including cleaning of work areas, pathways, and plant equipment.
- Assist with manual loading, unloading, and movement of materials and products on-site.
- Support plant operators and technicians during routine maintenance and production activities.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company rules while on duty.
- Participate in team briefings, safety talks, and daily task planning sessions.
- Assist with equipment preparation and packing of products when required.
- Comply with instructions from supervisors, team leaders, and safety officers.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Matric / Grade 12 Certificate – Essential
- Minimum 1 year of experience in manual labour, general work, or site support – Essential
- Must be physically fit and capable of standing, lifting, and moving materials for extended periods
- Willing and able to work shifts, overtime, weekends, and standby rotation – Essential
- Able to follow instructions and operate within a team environment
