Gijima, a well-established South African ICT company, is offering a 12-month full-time learnership programme aimed at empowering young, ambitious individuals who wish to pursue a career in the information technology sector. This opportunity is tailored for 25 dedicated South African youth, offering both theoretical and practical training in the field of IT systems support and networking.

The learnership is structured around the SAQA-accredited qualification: Systems Support (NQF Level 5, Qualification ID 48573). During the programme, learners will acquire valuable technical knowledge and practical skills required to support, troubleshoot, and resolve various hardware, software, and network issues in a real-world environment. This hands-on experience is designed to prepare participants for entry-level IT support roles within the rapidly growing ICT sector.

Throughout the duration of the learnership, successful applicants will work closely with experienced IT engineers and mentors, gaining exposure to real business environments and professional practices. Minimum Requirements:

To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must have a Matric certificate with English and Mathematics.
  • Must be proficient in using a personal computer.
  • Must currently be unemployed and not enrolled in any other learnership or internship programme.
  • Must have a clear criminal record.
  • Must be a South African citizen.
  • Must reside in Gauteng (with preference given to candidates living in or near Midrand).
  • Must be under the age of 35 as of 1 June 2025.
